Firm

Trey Adams is a founding partner of Atlas Stark Holdings. Mr. Adams co-manages all activities of the firm with a focus on advisory services, construction management, property management, marketing, investor relations and leads the firm’s medical office strategy.  Prior to ASH, Trey served as an associate and development partner of the Lundy Group, where he was involved in acquisition, disposition, development and oversaw all leasing efforts. Before joining Lundy Group, Trey spent seven years as a consultant with PDA, a regional consulting firm focused on strategic planning for healthcare systems and physicians. Trey is a Board Member The Poe Center for Health Education.  He is a past-appointed member of the State Health Coordinating Council (SHCC) and is considered an expert in the Certificate of Need process. Trey graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 with a BA in Exercise-Sports Science-Athletic Training and a Minor in Chemistry. An active member at Christ Church, Trey lives in Raleigh with his wife Maggie and their three children, Cort, Nell, and Ren. When he finds a spare moment, Trey can be found golfing or exploring the Triangle’s many food and beverage options.

As a Director at Atlas Stark Holdings, Jared leads the property management efforts. Jared graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009 with a BS in Public Health, concentrating in Health Policy & Management. He worked for five years as Health Center Administrator at the North Carolina Orthopedic Clinic, part of the Duke University Health System, overseeing clinic operations and strategic market expansion. In 2014, he became a Strategic Account Manager at Biologics, Inc., an oncology-focused specialty pharmacy in Cary, NC. Returning to UNC, Jared obtained his Executive MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School in October 2017, concentrating in Finance. Jared and his wife Katherine reside in Raleigh and are proud parents to their daughters, Amelia and Lucy. Jared was a founding member of Midtown Community Church in Raleigh. He remains involved in church leadership and global missions.

As the CFO of Atlas Stark Holdings, Bill is responsible for maintaining the best in class operational and financial systems in place at Atlas Stark. His background is in private equity/venture capital operations. Prior to ASH, Bill served on the operations team at Virgo Investment Group, a Private Equity Firm headquartered in California. Prior to Virgo, Bill was a Fund Controller at Standish Management (“Standish”), a boutique private equity fund administration and accounting consulting firm in Boston, MA, providing consulting services for private equity and venture capital clients. Prior to Standish, Bill was in the Asset Management practice at PwC in Boston. While at PwC, Bill managed financial statement assurance engagements with specialization in private equity and venture capital clients. Bill is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts. Bill graduated with a BA in Economics from Hamilton College and received his Master’s in Accountancy and MBA from Northeastern University.

As an Associate at Atlas Stark Holdings, Hunter is responsible for overseeing new development and construction activities. Prior to joining ASH Hunter spent eleven years as Director of Strategic and Financial Planning with Liberty Healthcare Management, Inc., a full service post-acute healthcare provider. While there he was responsible for the development, renovation, acquisition and sale of skilled nursing, assisted living, and full-service retirement communities. Hunter graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, holds a Master of Science degree from Georgetown University and received his MBA from Kenan Flagler Business School in 2016.

As a property manager, Rebecca assists Jared Brown in overseeing the Atlas Stark portfolio, which is made up of 1.5M square feet of commercial medical, office, retail, multi-family, and condo association management.  Rebecca comes to us with thirty years of commercial office, retail, and multi-family management experience.  She was born in VA but has resided in NC with her husband, Tony, of 26 years and her daughter, Latta, since 1995.  They enjoy spending time equally between the beach and the mountains, where they forage for beautiful views, savory food, and intimate wineries.

Reid, a broker at Atlas Stark Holdings, is a Raleigh native who graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1982. Reid worked for a couple of real estate firms before joining forces with Terry Mikels to start Mikels & Jones Properties in 1987. M&JP was a full-service real estate company that handled commercial leasing, sales, property management, and development. Reid and Terry merged their company in 2023 with Atlas Stark. Reid continues to help clients with leasing, property sales, and management of their real estate assets. Reid is married to Coles Jones and has two sons, Reidy and Ruffin, and one grandson. In his spare time, he loves to fly fish, spend time with his family at the beach, and hang out with his golden retriever, Milly.

Terry, a broker at Atlas Stark Holdings, was born in High Point, graduated from NCSU in 1979, and made his home here in Raleigh. In 1987, he partnered with Reid Jones to establish Mikels and Jones Properties, a full-service commercial real estate company. In August of 2023, Terry and Reid merged their company with Atlas Stark.  Terry and Juana have been married since 1981 and have raised four children: Blair, John, Alex, and Mary. They are now blessed with three grandchildren.

Julian, a broker at Atlas Stark Holdings, has over 20 years of commercial real estate knowledge. He focuses on connecting clients with their ideal property. Julian was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, holding a MBA. Throughout his career, he has worked in the banking industry and for commercial real estate companies such as Carter Worthy Commercial and Mikels and Jones. Julian actively contributes to the community by serving on the board of directors at Saint Mary’s School and Wake County Boys and Girls Club. He is an active member of Christ Episcopal. Outside of work, Julian enjoys spending time with his wife and three girls, following UNC sports, playing golf, and going to the beach.

As an Associate at Atlas Stark Holdings, Ruffin focuses on leasing the firm’s office, industrial, retail, and medical properties. Prior to joining Atlas Stark, Ruffin spent two years as a broker at Mikels & Jones Properties, where he focused on leasing and sales of industrial, office, land, and retail assets throughout the Triangle. Ruffin previously worked for SitusAMC in Atlanta, GA for five years, underwriting balance sheet and CMBS loans encompassing all commercial real estate assets. Ruffin graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2016 with a BA in Economics and Minors in Music and Policy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). Ruffin is a member of the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR), Triangle Area Office Building Association (TRAOBA), and volunteer with the Boys & Girls Club of Wake County’s annual fundraising campaign. In his spare time, Ruffin enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, basketball, and attending UNC sporting events.

Trent Ragland attended the University of South Carolina, majoring in Real Estate at the Darla Moore School of Business. He is actively involved in volunteer work, including serving on the board of the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors. Additionally, he has contributed to fundraising efforts for the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County during their annual campaign. Outside of work, Trent enjoys various outdoor activities and has a passion for cooking.

Daniel will oversee construction and development projects for Atlas Stark. Prior to joining ASH Daniel was a Construction Project Manager for hospital systems in North Carolina and Hawaii. A licensed mechanical engineer, Daniel also has experience as an industrial design consultant in Raleigh. Daniel attends Vintage Church in Raleigh where he met his wife, Hillary. They currently live in Garner with their three kids, Georgia, Sulli, and Welles.

As the property accountant at Atlas Stark Holdings, Ashley assists Bill Kearney with property-level accounting. Ashley comes to us from multifamily property management where she has over 7 years of experience. She has worked with Summit Management Services, BH Management, and Mid America Apartments.  Ashley obtained her BA from East Carolina University in 2015 and is currently working on her real estate license. Ashley lives in Raleigh with her boyfriend and dog. When she isn’t working, Ashley can be found galivanting around Walt Disney World, exploring the Triangle food and beverage scene with her boyfriend, or enjoying the outdoors and sunshine with her dog.

As Director of Marketing at Atlas Stark, Brooke Jurgensen leads branding efforts across the firm’s office and multiple developments. Originally from Yorktown, VA, Brooke spent her earlier career in the military assisting in budget and planning. Brooke graduated from Liberty University in 2019 with a Master of Science. She is married and a proud mom to Aslan and Hadassah. When not at work, she loves spending time with her family and exploring the city she calls home, Raleigh.

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Atlas Stark Holdings, Luis is responsible for overseeing his team and the daily operations and maintenance of all properties across the portfolio. Luis has over 8 years of property management maintenance experience. His prior employment. Lcor, Greystar, Northwood ravens, and Oakwood word wide. Luis has both HVAC T1 and T3 certifications and is also fluent in Spanish. Luis lives in Raleigh with his wife Maria and three kids Bryan, Nathan, and Sophia in his free time he likes to play basketball, play video games and swim with his kids.

Ja-Far is a building engineer with Atlas Stark born in Raleigh and raised in Atlanta, GA.  With eight years of experience as an HVAC technician, Ja-Far has been closely involved in governmental and commercial contracts, as well as residential installations and maintenance, while formerly employed with 5 Seasons Mechanical and Southeastern Heating and Air Conditioning.   His family has deep roots in the Triangle, operating Rainbow Upholstery for four decades.  When not working in the field, he enjoys collecting rare vinyl records, writing poetry, cooking, and traveling.
